PUBLIC GIGS
Coming up this Sunday 1st December 3pm I can be found playing with Metro Vipers at The Magnet located at 37 Albion Street in Broadstairs in Kent.
Master the art of Gypsy Jazz guitar in the style of Django Reinhardt with JONNY HEPBIR.
I specialize in teaching and coaching all aspects of the Jazz Manouche genre.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, I can assist you in enhancing your playing skills at a comfortable pace.
With over twenty-five years of professional performance and teaching experience in Gypsy Jazz guitar, I will customize all tutoring sessions to meet your specific needs.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of performing alongside some of the modern greats of Gypsy Jazz, including Bireli Lagrene, Stochelo Rosenberg, Lulu Reinhardt, and many others.
I offer online lessons via Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom, both in the U.K. and internationally.
Additionally, you can opt for one-to-one 75-minute sessions or fully immersive 4.5-hour day sessions at my home in Kent, U.K.
Here's a short video clip from a session in Germany in 2013 of my solo over 'Chinatown' with the influential Sinti master Lulu Reinhardt and Dutch supremo Rino van Hooijdonk.
I had a few sessions with Lulu and filmed them all, he was, and still a massive influence on my playing so it was a big deal to actually make music with this wonderful musician. He very sadly became ill and passed away later that year so the memories and footage are precious indeed.
