JONNY HEPBIR GYPSY JAZZ GUITARIST at The Chapel Bar for Broadstairs Folk Week in Kent. You can catch me playing a couple of sets of Django Reinhardt style Swing Guitar at this popular Broadstairs venue from 1pm on Monday 12th August.
Last month I was once again playing with Peter Long's Pocket Basie. This time it was for a big swing dance event at The Assembly House in Norwich.
This is an awesome band to play in, I love being surrounded by some of the U.K's finest musicians. This one had of course, maestro Pete on Tenor Sax, Peter Horsfall on Trumpet, Colin Good on Piano, Harry Evans on Bass, the ever-present Richard Pite on Drums and yours truly on rhythm guitar.
The magical thing is the whole band is acoustic, mimicking the timeless sound of the Count Basie Orchestra in miniature. Cheeky!

Another great Event I played for back in June was for Godinton House and Gardens 'Jazz on a Summer's evening' with Metro Vipers.
This is always a fun evening and has been a sell-out for the last four years we've been asked to perform.
We don't get to play much these days as we're all busy with our main bands so we always make sure we have a great time and it helps that we're good friends. Really enjoyable playing for everyone.

Recently I was playing with Loulou Swing Duo at Pilgrim's Hospice in Margate, Kent at a celebration party for all the staff and volunteers. Really great to be part of the day and we had a swell time keeping everyone entertained.
