This week JONNY HEPBIR GYPSY JAZZ GUITARIST will be the guest of the Sephora Gypsy Jazz Quartet at the Creative Innovation Centre in Taunton, Somerset on Friday 26th July 2024 from 8.15pm.
'The hot acoustic swing of ‘Sephora’ captures the vibrant sound of 1930’s Paris. Their performance gives a rich and nostalgic experience, which includes Eastern European influences without ever losing the gypsy footprint of guitarist Django Reinhardt and the violin of Stephane Grappelli.'
The evening before, Thursday 25th July 7.30pm I'll be playing a warm-up Duo Gypsy Jazz gig with the Sephora Quartet's band leader David Lunniss at The Little Wine Shop, Riverside Place, St James Street, Taunton TA1 1JH.
I'm really looking forward to this road trip and playing with some great Somerset based musicians!
On Saturday 27th July 2-4pm you can catch me at Vinoteq Wine and Jazz Bar located at 1 Cannon Street, Dover Kent CT16 1BY. I'll be playing a chilled couple of Duo sets with guitarist Tony Hudd.
Rounding off a busy weekend, on Sunday 28th July 4pm, I'll be back for my residency gig at the fabulous FEZ located at 40 High Street, Margate Kent CT9 1DS.
I hope to catch some of you at one of these great events!
